The big bang theory

Heikki's race in Valencia ended with the big bang in lap 10 when Red Bull Racing's Mark Webber crashed into the Lotus'es rear, and ending the race for the both drivers. Luckily both Mark and Kovy were able to walk away from the crash without any major injuries. Despite being a 'little' pissed off after the crash the Finn later looked back at the incident and explained that apparently Webber was surprised by the fact that he had to brake a lot earlier into the corner than he expected.
“First of all it’s good news that both of us are ok. Mark had a hardcore flight, and it could have ended up much worse, so it’s good we’re both fine. I was going really well, pulling away from the guys behind by about half a second a lap, and with Mark we were racing for position so I was always going to defend. I didn’t do anything wrong and he just ran into me“, said Heikki after the crash. “I think he missed his braking point and he ran into me at a very bad angle – his front tyre hit my right rear and he took off.“
Just looking into the accident footage one could get an impression that Mark Webber assumed that Kovy's Lotus was just going to disappear into the thin air, the way his was darting all over the track behind the slower Lotus of Heikki.
“It’s such a shame the race ended that early. I had to make a mandatory visit to the medical centre, and shook hands with Mark there, but I’m absolutely fine, and glad Mark is too.”
With this early end of his race, Kovy's arrival in Valencia should be counted as the best achivement of his weekend. He is now going to stop and chill and concentrate on the next race, which will take place in Silverstone in two weeks time.
