Welcome to the Forecasting Competition 2009!

HERE ARE THE SIMPLE RULES:

  • Competition runs thorough the season '2009.
  • You can start submitting your entries at any point during the 2009 season, but it is in your own interest to submit your entries for every Grand Prix weekend in order to increase your chances.
  • You may submit your entries up to an hour before the start of the first practice session on Friday at 10:00am local time.
  • You will have to try and predict the Top 8 for both Qualifying and the Race.
  • The points for the correct guesses in both quail and race are allocated in accordance with the point scoring system of the Formula-1 championship. [Example: if Kimi Raikkonen wins the race and Heikki comes P3, but your prediction was for the Lewis win and Heikki P3 you will get 6 points for guessing the position right (plus any points you might get for other correct guesses)].
  • You cannot change your entry after it is submitted.
  • Multiple entries by the same person (even when using different names and e-mail addresses) are not allowed. If you decide to try it anyway only the first entry will be admitted.
  • There are no prizes for the winners of the separate weekends.
  • The winners are 5 (five) participants with the highest scores by the end of the season.
  • The decision on the winners of this competition is final.
  • Members of www.heikkikovalainen.net may take part in this competition but cannot receive any prizes, so in case of taking one of the Top five position by the end of the season their prize will be allocated to the person directly behind them (providing they are not members of our team either!).
